flashback!

My grandfather always said “Be always thankful.” I disliked his teaching because he always gave me a long lecture. However, now I miss him so much. He died 5years ago when I was in Korean army. I started having flashback of the day. In the morning my peer said “sir! You are ordered to prepare for a vacation.” I thought he was kidding and playing around me because he was about to go vacation. However, I was told that my grandfather just died and I had to attend the funeral. I started crying and had nothing to say. One of my higher officers comforted me and said “Mr. Youm!! Your grandpa gives you last gift (he means vacation)… you set ur mind!!” I felt guilty because I didn’t give him anything and I haven’t said that I love you. He always prayed for my generation a lot. As an oldest grandson, I was given his endless love. However…. He was gone like that. Since he was gone I have tried to follow his saying. I don’t know why his saying popped into my head and I thought about him. I miss him a lot and really want to say “I love you” I believe he can hear me.
